Can you believe that this site started out being managed and developed all by one person? Every aspect of LP&P was created and made by, Lea Ann Hoyt.
About our founder and developer: Lea Ann Hoyt She is a stay at home mom of four children and has been married for over 14 years. She have studied Early Childhood Development at TCC. Centering her studies on Infant and Toddler care. Her studies were sparked by her first child that was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. She was looking for a way to connect with her child and understand her challenges. There is never a dull moment around here, but during Lea's down time she needs to get creative. Lea believes that her creativity is some much needed therapy. About our company: Lea's Parlor & Photography How did we get our name? Lea's husband Erik, knows that she loves spiders. One of her first photographs she had taken was of a large yellow garden spider. This same image helped spark the photography bug that bit Lea hard. The photograph reminded Erik of a poem by Mary Howitt, "The Spider and the Fly". “Will you walk into my parlour?” said the Spider to the Fly, 'Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy; The way into my parlour is up a winding stair, And I've a many curious things to show when you are there.” |
Although our spelling is a little different and our stairs are not winding, our little store has many curious things and we always love showing them off when you visit.
How did we come about? Lea has always been a very creative person and was a stay at home mom. She felt that although her day was full, she needed to do more to contribute. While scrolling through a website sale site, she found an opportunity she couldn't refuse. Sublimation printing entered her life. Needing printable images, her photography began. As her children grew, she started to see the need to inspire their creativity and personality by centering all her crafting around their interests. Often that lead to needing elaborate costumes or props. Having four children does not always allow for expensive costumes. Lea had to teach herself to sew. We are mighty proud about how all of this has turned out and hope we continue to offer some great products for our customers. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Message from our founder: I want to thank all of our customers for visiting our site and hope I can help you with your next gift.
